Some major roads are renamed / renumbered at times, here are a couple of very useful references:
Euston road in 1858.

I am now adding the entirety of the London 1940 street directory, this will take some months; plus a listing to the history of all of the pubs that are listed in modern London, including the London boroughs (this includes parts of Essex, Kent, Middlesex, Surrey etc). The 1940 listing is useful in searching ancestry records for the rather excellent 1939 electoral register which lists people with their relevant trade, and date of birth.
