My 2 great grandfather was John Bent, born in Billesdon in 1816. His elder
brother, William Bent, born in 1812, moved to London where his first wife
died in 1850. With 2 young children he swiftly married again to Elizabeth
Smith at the end of 1850. He was first a coachman but then a licensed
victualler for many years. ***
