My great-grandmother & father apparently used to own a pub called “Uncle Tom’s Cabin”, Hackney Wick in the mid-1930s. My great grandparents were Amy and Frederick Pearce (Amy was nee Allen.). He was earlier at the Goring Arms, which was previously run by his father - Robert John Pearce *
