All the London railway stations :
Underground lines : Circle, District
Tower Hill station, lifts serving both platforms - in May 2019
AccessAble Access Guide :
Step-free access stations have lifts or ramps - or a combination of both - so that customers don't have to use escalators or stairs to move between the street and the platform.
Accessibility friendly : Tower Hill is partially accessible to wheelchair. There are now two lifts at this station, in May 2021, which access both the eastbound and westbound platforms of the district / circle lines. A member of staff informed me that there were still some issues as there are no ramps onto the trains, and therefore would not suit a small-wheeled vehicle.
From Tower Hill station, you have immediate access and view of the Tower of London, and also the start section of the Roman London Wall which encircles the entirety of the original City of London.
The Roman Wall is immediately behind the Leonardo Royal Hotel in their car park, in Coopers Row. Coopers Row is also the side entrance to Fenchurch Street Railway station, although this incorporates a significant number of steps.
Here is my walk from the AccessLondon blog about walking the Roman London Wall. And here is part 2 of the walk taking in the Postmans Park near to Barts Hospital.
Another tip, if wanting to access the Fenchurch station and C2C, take a short trip to the Tower Gateway station which is accessible by lift, and escalators, and two stations travel onwards arrives at Limehouse. You do need to exit the DLR station to cross to the C2C lines, but there are lifts, albeit a tad small (June 2019). I will take pictures of this very soon.
