The Grand Metropolitan chain purchased the Trumans and Watney chains in the early 1970s. This is a list of about 500 of their pubs in around 1988 to 1990 in London and the South East, just prior to Grand Metropolitan transfer to Charringtons. Links are back to the historical pubs site which shows a considerable amount of past history of the pubs and their past residents.
