I spend many hours personally visiting the rail stations in London, and recording the stairs and elevators, plus lifts.
The list of accessible stations in London was last updated by me on the 17th May 2022, and entirely accurate to the best of my belief.
On Tuesday, May 24th 2022, the first section of the Elizabeth Line is running for the first time, cutting the journey time between Paddington and Canary Wharf to just 19 minutes

  • Wanstead, Central, 100 steps or escalators.
  • Wanstead Park, London Overground, 44 steps.
  • Wapping, London Overground, No level access to platforms.
  • Warren Street, Northern, escalators and stairs.
  • Warwick Avenue, Bakerloo, 60 steps.
  • Waterloo, National Rail, step free to all platforms. York road exit is level.
  • Waterloo, Bakerloo, Jubilee, Northern. The Jubilee and Waterloo & City has lifts (or escalators) as does Bakerloo southbound. York road exit is level.
  • Watford, Metropolitan, London Overground, Station has stairs.
  • Watford High Street, London Overground, 32 steps.
  • Watford Junction, London Overground, ThamesLink. Some pkatforms served by lifts.
  • Wellesley Road London Tramlink, Yes, excellent accessibility
  • Welling National Rail South Eastern. Level stepfree via moderate ramps.
  • Wembley Central, Bakerloo, London Overground, ThamesLink, Station has stairs.
  • Wembley Park, Metropolitan, Jubilee. There is lift access between street and platforms
  • Wembley Stadium National Rail Chiltern Railways, step-free via a steep ramp.
  • West Acton, Central, 37 steps.
  • West Brompton, District, ThamesLink. stepfree via lifts between the street and Platform 2 eastbound District line, and Platforms 3 and 4 for London Overground only.
  • West Croydon, London Overground, National Rail Southern, London Tramlink. Some stepfree to London overground.
  • West Dulwich National Rail South eastern. Steps to all platforms.
  • West Finchley, Northern, step free with a 350 metre journey to swap platforms.
  • West Ham, District, Hammersmith & City, Jubilee, DLR. Generally accessible via lifts. Good station to use.
  • West Ham, C2C to Fenchurch Street. Step free with lifts, but Ramps onto train. Good station to use.
  • West Hampstead, Jubilee, 29 steps and a ramp.
  • West Harrow, Metropolitan, stairs between the platform and street.
  • West India Quay, DLR, Yes, excellent accessibility
  • West Kensington, District, stairs between the platform and street.
  • West Norwood ThamesLink, Step-free access to both platforms via separate entrances, maybe steep in places.
  • West Ruislip, Central, National Rail Chiltern Railways. Stepfree on platform 4 only.
  • West Silvertown, DLR, Yes, excellent accessibility
  • West Sutton ThamesLink, stairs between the platform and street.
  • West Wickham National Rail South Eastern. Step free interchange between platforms via road is 400 metres plus.
  • Westbourne Park, Hammersmith & City, 34 steps.
  • Westcombe Park ThamesLink. Platforms are stepfree, interchange via the road in excess of 280 metres
  • Westferry, DLR, Yes, excellent accessibility
  • Westminster, District, Circle , Jubilee, Jubilee line is step-free from street to train. District and Circle lines are step-free from street to platform,
  • Westminster Pier, Uber Thames Clippers, Yes, excellent accessibility
  • White City, Central, 22 steps.
  • White Hart Lane London Overground, 41 steps.
  • Whitechapel, Elizabeth Line. District, Hammersmith & City , Brand new Elizabethan Line station. Lifts opened August 2021, now very accessible.
  • Whitton National Rail South West, Now step-free access to all platforms
  • Willesden Green, Jubilee, 30 steps.
  • Willesden Junction, Bakerloo, London Overground, Lift access between street and platforms.
  • Wimbledon , District, ThamesLink, London Tramlink. Lift access between street and platform.
  • Wimbledon Chase ThamesLink, stairs between the platform and street.
  • Wimbledon Park, District, Step-free access.
  • Winchmore Hill ThamesLink, stairs between the platform and street.
  • Wood Green, Piccadilly, There is an escalator.
  • Wood Lane, Hammersmith & City, There is lift access between the street and platforms
  • Wood Street London Overground, not step free.
  • Woodford, Central, stepfree via the street, with a distance in changing platforms.
  • Woodgrange Park, London Overground, 29 steps.
  • Woodside London Tramlink, Yes, excellent accessibility
  • Woodside Park, Northern, raised platforms give step-free access from the train to platform
  • Woolwich, Elizabeth Line. Yes, excellent accessibility
  • Woolwich Arsenal, DLR, ThamesLink on the highly accessible DLR line. Stepped access to both platforms via booking hall and station overbridge on Overground.
  • Woolwich Dockyard National Rail South Eastern, partially stepfree.
  • Worcester Park National Rail South West, It now has step-free access to all platforms.
