Sunbury pub history index
This pub was established under this name by 1870, but may well be older; early and mid-nineteenth century records of Upper Halliford pubs called the Rising Sun and later the Star may relate to this house. The Pub is in the Sunbury census in 1901. The licensing authorities refused the renewal of the licence for this pub in 1911 and it closed. It was subsequently demolished in around 1935. **
