New Southgate - Transfer of License
The Northern Star, New Southgate was transferred from Mr George Malham to Mr Thomas Lynch. Mr Malham kept the house for nearly six years, and his neoghbours and customers presented him with a handsomely illuminated address and timepiece on his leaving.

Barnet Press 24 August 1907
At Wood Green, on Friday, Robert Albert Gardener, landlord of the Northern Star, High road, New Southgate, was charged with being drunk and disorderly at High road, on the 15th instance.
There would be no more trouble in future, as defendants hotel had been sold, and he was about to leave it.
Defendant was fined 5 shillings and costs, or seven days.

Middlesex Gazette 22 February 1908
Police Report - Al licensed houses in the division had been well conducted with the exception of the Seven Oaks, at Wood Green, and the Northern Star, New Southgate. There had been a change of landlord at the latter.

The funeral took place at St Marylebone Cemetery, Finchley, on Monday, March 29th of Mrs Emily Wood, the wife of Mr T H Wood, of South Africa, and the eldest daughter of Mr George Malham, of Trafalgar cottage, Fortis Green road, and proprietor of the "Clissold Arms," Fortis Green road, and formerly of the "Great Northern Railway" Hotel, Hornsey, and the "Northern Star", New Southgate.
The deceased lady who was only 38 years of age when she died on the 17th March after two days of illness ..
The chiefmourners being her only son George, Mr G Malham (brother), Mr W Malham (cousin), and Mr J C Emery.
