Rummer :
For the Rummer Pub in Enfield, following my gggg. grandfather Thomas Boswell as publican was his daughter Sarah Ridenton and her husband James Ridenton
(leasehold passed through Thomas Boswell's will). Their tenure was short as James died 1828 (a year after Thomas Boswell), and Sarah died in 1831. *
The pub at some point passed to Sarah's cousin Joseph Jelly. *
The Rummer, in Enfield was later renamed the Railway Inn and shows Charles Barber as listed by 1861. *

The People 06 October 1918:
Tragedy at an Inn - The tragic sequel of a wife's unfaithfulness was investigated by an Edmonton jury, who found that Alfred Clark (42), of the Railway Inn, Enfield Town, murdered his wife Rose Clark (39), at the Railway tavern, Edmonton, which she conducted, and committed suicide during temporary insanity -
Rosa Clark, the man's sister in law, said that on Saturday afternoon he told her that he had had a great shock, his wife having informed him that she wanted him to divorce her, as she loved Arthur Press better, and had been to Bognor for 7 weeks with him ...
May Adelaide Parker, a barmaid, said that at 10.45 pm on Saturday she heard Mrs Clark shout ...
