My Grandfather, Robert Charles Smith, was the registered licensee and bought The Magnet from George Pearce in January 1932 and sold it A.E. Bolsom in 1936. As I understand it he took over from George Pierce. He then purchased the Lord Palmerston, 38 Park Road East, Acton W3, which he owned from 1936 until his death in 1948. *
