Considerable further information about the Parrs Head can be found here :
1924 - 29/John James Carnaby/../../../Kellys Directory ***
This is the first photograph taken at the Parr's Head when my Grandfather,
John James Carnaby took over - about 1922. He actually took the photo, as
his hobby was photography. You can just about see in the window at the back,
an advert for Frost Brothers still in place.
This is taken outside the Parrs Head on it's first men's outing in 1922/23.
My Grandfather (John James Carnaby) is sitting in the centre, front and on
the left hand side is my Father (also John James Carnby) aged 12/13 yrs - he
died aged 94 in 2004.
