Two taverns, Hungerford market, St Martins in Fields circa 1830 - the Swan on the left & the Dolphin on the right
The colonnade in the centre is the entrance to the Fishmarket; the houses at the wings are appropriated for taverns. The 1850 view of Huungerford market from the bridge show both of the taverns to be Whitbread, and that on the left to have Buckmaster as the licensee, i.e. the Swan.
The address is at Hungerford market (which is integrated into Charing Cross station). In the 1851 census, next is a Toll house at bridge and 1 Craven court.
