This pub was first licensed in 1796 and was rebuilt in its present form in 1882. The Grapes, at 1 Union Street through road renaming before 1891. It is now renamed Bonds and has been expanded into neighbouring premises to give the modern address 11-16 Dering Street. ** The name is given as simply the Grapes in 1856 and earlier. *
