St Leonard, Shoreditch - 23rd July 1858 :
The removal of Elizabeth Morgan, Widow, and her four lawful children namely Jemima, Alice, Charles and Clara, none of whom has done an act to gain a settlement.
The paupers now residing at 1 Maidstone place to be removed to Parish of Saint George, as follows :
"That the said Elizabeth Morgan is the Widow of Charles Morgan deceased who died in August 1852 to whom she was lawfully married at St Johns Church, Bethnal Green, Middlesex on the 19th of May 1844, and by whom she has lawful issue of such a marriage four children, namely, Jemima aged 13 years, Alice aged 11 years, Charles aged 9 years, and Clara aged 6 years.

(In the marriage in May, 1844 at Bethnal Green, Charles Morgan, comedian, marries Elizabeth Brown. In 1851 census, Charles is aged 34, and Elizabeth  31. They are at 2 Wheeler street, Spitalfields in the 1861 census)
Charles Morgan was the son of Richard and Jemima Morgan deceased who were lawfully married at St Georges Church, Hanover square about 43 years ago."
"That in the year 1827, Richard Morgan took and hired for the term of 21 years lease granted by Edward Bliss esq. deceased at the yearly rent of �45 the White Lion Public House in King street, St George in the East, having occupied and slept therein from the 24th day of June 1827 for five years and upwards." **
