My interest in this pub are the Adnetts and James Lynch. James was the
maternal uncle of Catherine Adnett. Through Old Bailey online I have
discovered that Bazil Adnett had a pub in Westminster in 1840s. An
Adnett sister/daughter Jane Elizabth married Thomas Fitzgerald, cf family at
Bulls Head Old Gravel Lane in 1871, They were also waterman/lighterman. The
Lynchs were also stevedores. *
This Basil Adnett can be found at the White Lion, King Street, Old Gravel Lane as far back as 1841 with his father Basil Adnett as the
victualler.
