Poplar pub history index
Existed from at least 1869. The Enterprise pub at 69 Grundy street was demolished by 1951, when it was rebuilt as the Festival Inn, with the slightly altered address of 71 Grundy Street. The construction of this replacement pub formed part of the 'Live Architecture' exhibition of the Festival of Britain. **
The Festival Inn also effectively replaced the Grundy Arms, which had stood at 83 Grundy Street and was demolished shortly after WWII. **
