Poplar pub history index
This was built as the Brunswick Hotel in 1834, with a separate pub attached called the Brunswick Tap. The Hotel/Tavern closed in 1874 to become an emigrants' hostel and later a convalescent home, but the Tap continued in business until around 1916. The whole premises was demolished in September 1930. **
