Arthur Dickson and sons, victuallers in London

All information kindly supplied by Mary Armour

I've been researching the Dickson family, who they ran a number of pubs in London from the early 1900's. (James) Arthur Dickson was the father and he had two sons Arthur George Dickson and Ernest Edwin Dickson, all involved in the brewery trade.

Arthur Dickson , born about 1861:
1895-1898 - George IV, Ida Street, Poplar
1899-1908 - Greenwich Pensioner, 2 Bazeley Street, Poplar
1908-1910 - Princess Royal, Johnson Street, St George in the East
1911 - Champion Arms, Kingsland Road, Shoreditch

Arthur George Dickson, Born 11th May 1884
1909-1914 - The Ship, 473 Bethnal Green Road
1921-1930 - Victoria Tavern, 203 Holloway Road, Islington
1932 - Butcher's Arms, 256 York Road, Islington
1933 - Butcher's Arms with brother Ernest
1934 - Butcher's Arms
1935-1938 - Prince Arthur, 80 Seymour Street, St Pancras, with brother Ernest
1939-1944 - City of Rome, 114 Roman Way, Islington

Ernest Edwin Dickson, born 20th September 1893
1933 - Butcher's Arms, 256 York Road, Islington with brother Arthur George
1935-1938 - Prince Arthur, 80 Seymour Street, St Pancras with brother Arthur George
1939 - Windsor Castle, 124 Church Street, Marylebone
1944-1953 - Lion Hotel, Cattle Market, Islington

The sources for brothers Arthur and Ernest are from the Electoral Rolls found on Ancestry.
Sources for Father Arthur, were censuses and PO Directory.

It's amazing how many pubs are no longer operating and how the names of roads have changed over the years.
