Search my many thousands of pubs and London history
A listing of historical public houses, Taverns, Inns, Beer Houses and Hotels in London.
The Bodega Company is a limited company which specialised in the licensed trade. Many of their establishments are plainly called Bodega, and a good example of this is the Rainbow Tavern, 15 Fleet Street. In 1921 it is listed in trade directories as the Rainbow Tavern, and run by the Bodega Company Limited, but by 1934 it is listed as just the Bodega. I have found entries between about 1902 and 1953 so far.
The Telephone directories are good to find the premises which they ran, for example in 1916, and 1918 they are referenced as the Bodega Co Ltd, Wine, Spirit Merchants, and in 1925, they run the following establishments, probably all called Bodega:
42 Glasshouse Street, W1 - 1905 to 1951
Cowpers Court, Cornhill EC3 - 1915 to 1925
15 Fleet Street EC4 - (Rainbow Tavern) - 1902 to 1953

72 Mark Lane EC3 - 1909 to 1927
5 Bucklersbury EC4 - 1902 to 1953 (previously the City of London Coffee Tavern)

found so far is about 1902.
