Benjamin, Sarah and George Griffin are the sons and daughter of Isaac
Blewett Griffin, of the
Carpenters Arms,
Princess Street, Marylebone. *
My great grandmother was Sarah Jane Blewitt Griffin, her brother was
Benjamin Alipore Griffin; their father was Israel Blewitt Griffin. Sarah
married Henry E Morgan in 1882 in Paddington. I have a deed setting up a
post nuptial settlement in 1888, which refers to the " Royal Oak but now
called or known by the name or sign of The
Bridge House and being number 213 Upper Kennington Lane". *

for £50,000 as a leased business (HM continued to own freehold); proceeds of
sale were invested in land, housing development in the Kilburn/Willesden
