The Pidgeon Family : William Wotton Pidgeon, was the Potman at the Roebuck in Brady Street, Whitechapel, in 1891. He married Nellie Jane Thompson in 1893, and they had three daughters, the second of which, Lilian Margaret, (known subsequent to her birth as Ethel Margaret), was born at the Devon Arms in Green Street, Bethnal Green in 1896. Nellie died in 1903, and William returned to Devon. **
