My Father passed away in 2002, and I found the old Licence from 1934 for this pub which at the time was his Fathers, I have often thought of visiting the place while visiting London (We now live in Canada) but now realize the place is now gone. **

I was working at the Edward as bar man in the early 1990s then as
manager , and as general manager licensee until 2006. I think I was the
longest person to run the Edward as a gay bar. When I left in 2006 the
freeholder Kay stokes put on the market and as you know sold in 2011 I
changed the logo to ED.V1 and have it that lovely paint job in 2001. ***
