At some point between the residents listed in the census, were George Walter Pratt and his wife Frances Pratt née White. She is named in an Indenture on land in Muswell Hill as the widow of George, Beer retailer at the Fox & Hounds. George died aged about 45 in 1894, and may have had to leave the pub due to ill health. They clearly made enough money to buy a piece of what was then farmland in Muswell Hill, being sold for development in the 1880s. **
