Islington index
The address is at 1 Queenland Road in 1882 and earlier (also listed as 1a Queensland Road in 1874), and at 1a Queens Road in the 1871 census, prior to street renaming. This is marked on the 1950s Ordnance Survey map as the Volunteer, so it may have changed name for a period. *
The first picture is in the 1940s, and the event is probably a VE Day party. A new pub was built next door in the 1950s, but the original remained until they were both demolished in 2003 during the building of the new Arsenal Stadium. it's later years it was called Dunphys Favourite. The second photo is 1960s and the third is 2002. ***
