At Park Street, Hackney Wick in 1866; This pub was well known as part of a sporting complex in the 19th century. It was rebuilt in its present form during the 1930s and in 2006 was re-named Silvar Link after having been known as Genevas since 2002. This pub closed in 2010.

Mr Cyril Aris & wife Rachel, retired after 23 years at the White
Lion, and are off to live in Brighton. His father was at the
Railway, Dalston for over 40 years and
his brother was a tenant from 1921 to 1956.
Their successors are Mr & Mrs Harry Mallin, who are well known in
the district. Both Harry's father and uncle were boxers, his uncle winning two
Olympic gold medals and never once defeated as an amateur. - Black Eagle Journal
