The White Hart in Lower Clapton Road, Hackney was where my grandfather was
proprietor. His name was Herbert James Chinn and he was born in 1864 and
died in approximately 1911. He was also a Freeman of the City of London and
had a huge funeral from The White Hart Hotel.
His widow my grandmother Emily Jane, later remarried a William Warden and
became the proprietor of the White Hart. ***
