My Great grandfather, John Asser, was landlord at the Lord Nelson in 1891. His brothers Samuel and Stephen had the Queens Hotel, Victoria Park and the Royal Hotel, Victoria Park. I have this information after researching my family tree. Their father (I think) lived at 25 White Post Lane, Grange House, Bow - The Lord Napier. ***
