Monday 25 July 2022 - Stonegate Media:

The Globe Inn in Hackney has a fresh new look and unbeatable pub sports thanks to its recent makeover.
The pub is part of the award-winning Craft Union Pub Company, who were named the Best Community Operator at the 2022 Publican Awards. It invested over £210,000 in the Globe Inn during its recent refurbishment so Homerton and Hackney can enjoy this friendly neighbourhood pub for years to come.
Open seven days a week, a highlight is the unmissable TV sports and entertainment with amazing viewing throughout the pub. The big HD screens and high-tech audio create a real match day atmosphere in the pub. There is a new double darts surround with two throws to add to the sporting entertainment on offer at the Globe.
Stonegate Regional Manager for The Globe Inn, Gavin Chinasamy said: “This is an exciting time for the Globe Inn. It looks fantastic and it has a brilliant atmosphere, day and night, all through the week. Pubs are the original meeting place and, in my opinion, the best place to meet up with friends, family and neighbours. The pub is open all day, every day and for all occasions – a quiet drink or a big get together to watch a match.”
New bar fittings, lighting, carpeting and décor have added to the warmth and comfort of the pub and thanks to new external heating, the outside seating can be used more often, even if the sun isn’t shining.
Gavin added: “The beauty of The Globe Inn is it still has all its character and yet offers the comforts and quality we expect and deserve these days. It is all about making this a warm, welcoming and relaxing pub for all. There’s everything you would want in a local pub. We offer great drinks, great entertainment and great service without any of those eye water prices. It’s about good quality and good value with people at the heart of it.”
Customers can look forward to a refreshing pint of beer or glass of wine from an extended drinks menu. The bar stocks leading local, national and international brands with a wide choice of beers, wines, ciders, spirits, low and no alcohol and soft drinks. Download the Craft Union Order & Pay app and simply buy your drinks from your seat and they will be brought to your table. The Globe dates back to 1891 but used to stand further along the road. Following damage in WW2, it was rebuilt at its current site in the 1960s where is has continued its long tradition of serving great pub hospitality to the people of Hackney and beyond.
