My great x 2 uncle, Frank Sweeting, had a phone number at the Rye Hotel, 63 Peckham Rye in 1909 [Deptford 273]. In 1910 it was [New Cross 273]. The 1911 census shows him there with his wife. He died at the Bell Hotel, Oxted in 1921 to which he had moved some time after his second marriage in 1917.  *
