The Plough, 2 Camberwell Grove, SE5 in 1905
The small boy on the right is standing by the wall of the Mary Datchelor School For Girls.
The pub closed c1920, and was demolished c1930 during the building of a new wing to the school, which itself closed in 1981.
Part of the funding for the extension came from the sale of the remaining 40 year Leasehold of The Sugar Loaf Tavern, 1 St Mary Axe, Bishopsgate EC3 (owned by the Datchelor bequest) to P&O in 1921. **
