Morning Advertiser 26/03/1867: Newington Magistrates Licensing Palmerston Arms, Lordship Lane, Dulwich Mr Lilley for Mr Ezekiel James Bailey said
that the house was in an entirely new neighbourhood and had cost 2,500 to build. Licence granted. *
Ezekiel James Bailey was a pub owner and house builder - he was previously
at the George Canning
in Grove Lane Camberwell - I suspect he is the landlord at the LP in 1871
but the census show him at the George Canning. *
