My 3 x great uncle, Richard Willgoos, is listed on the 1861 census at Kings
Head P House as Licensed Victualler with his wife Frances. In 1851, he is
listed as a carman and I cannot tell when he took over the pub. I have found
his death via the Probate Calendars. He died at the Kings Head 24 August,
1862. His widow Frances remarried in 1867 to William Hills. **
