My grandparents were Frank Hagan and Jenny Hagan, they sold up and bought the Albert house in Forest Lane, Stratford, A Bass house. The family had this pub for over 50 years. A doodlebug blew the top off. The pub was pulled down about 20 years ago and now is a block of flats. **

My grandparents  also owned, The Prince Regent, Salmpons Lane;  The Albert House, Forest Lane, Stratford; The Beehive off-licence, Katherine Road, East Ham ; The Hope public house, Barking (Charringtons), The Royal Oak, High Beach, Epping Forest (Charringtons); and The Royal Oak, Lea Bridge Road. **
