John Lockie in 1810 describes as :
"Jamaica Place, Commercial Road, Limehouse, is situate between Gill Street and
Rich Street a few doors from the church towards the West India dock."
"Jamaica Place East, Limehouse, extends from the last described to Gun lane. "
