John Lockie in 1810 describes as :
"Horse Ferry Road, Millbank Street, Westminster, the fifth on the Right about 1/3 of a mile from the Abbey, extending from the Thames to Great Peter street or to Strutton ground, near 1/2 a mile in length. "
