This is the 1818 Johnstones London commercial guide which also includes a little pub history detail.
John Lockie in 1810 describes as :
"Aris Buildings, Bowling Green lane, Clerkenwell, the first on the R. from Rosamond street towards Coppice row, or the second on the L. from Coppice row, on the opposite direction. "
