(2). Bowyer Tower, Tower of London. Early in 1911 a small excavation in the
floor of the Bowyer Tower revealed the inner face of the Roman wall. Only a
small portion was uncovered, but included brick bonding-courses. It was
carefully preserved and can be inspected by raising one of the stones of the
modern floor.
