Westminster St Margaret index
This pub stood on the Little George Street which runs south from Great George Street towards Westminster Abbey. I have not been able to determine its exact location as no PH is marked on the 1869 OS map, but Horwood’s map of 1795 places No 5 half-way down the western side of the street, which is the most likely location. In the 1871 Census, although it was still called the Green Man it was not a pub, being occupied by a dispensing chemist at Middlesex Hospital, although it was a pub again by 1881. *
