Westminster St Margaret pub history index
This pub was present by 1726. In the early 19th Century it stood at No 82 York Street, on the west corner of Gardener’s Lane (these streets were renamed Petty France and Palmer Street by 1922). It was rebuilt in its present form in 1881, incorporating No 81 next door, and either or both numbers were subsequently used as the address, settling on 81 some time after 1911. *
