Search my many thousands of pubs and London history
This may be a genuine drinking house, but it is not certain. The 1881 Census record has a note from the enumerator immediately before this entry, saying No 18 now part of Public House in Little College Street. The Public House in Little College Street was the Queens Arms at No 8, run in 1881 by Anna Dovey and her daughter. It is possible that Mr Miller, the Publican living at No 20, actually helped out at the pub next door rather than running a separate establishment. *
