You might like to know that James Alfred Armour, the publican of the Three Jolly Gardeners 1881-1891 was a student at The Grey Coat Hospital School, beginning when he was 9 ½ on 27 June 1865 ***
I am researching the history of the school, which is just around the corner in Grey Coat Place.
James Armour is at the Robin Hood, Kingston Vale, Putney SW15 by the 1891 census, which his wife is still licensee in 1913.
