In the circa 1915 photograph of the Rose & Shamrock, 64 Marsham street, the alley beside the pub is Laundry Yard. The building survived the war and appears on the 1947 OS Map as 10 Marsham street ; Renumbering takes place sometime between 1921 and 1927.
Four doors along from the pub, on the corner of Great Peter street is the Queens Head, 68 Marsham street (later at 2 Marsham street).
The domed building in the distance is the Methodist Central Hall, Westminster, which opened in 1911. *
