Adam & Eve, 27 Tufton Street, St John, Westminster

At 14 Bowling Street until mid 1860s. On Stanford’s map of 1862, Bowling Street was a continuation of Tufton Street northwards beyond Little Peter Street/Wood Street. By 1869, when the OS map was surveyed, the whole street was called Tufton Street; there are two pubs marked on the map in this northern half, and No 27 was the one on the northern corner of Wood Street. *
