I came across the census for 1901 showing my Grandmother, May Elbourne, a
barmaid in the Greyhound, 145 Philip Lane, (Licensed Victualler Whitmill) who came to London
from Caithness in Scotland. In 1902 she married my Grandfather John
Frederick Elbourne in St Pancras, Camden.
In 1891 she worked for a Hotel/Inn Keeper (Alexander Ireland) in Georgemas,
Halkirk, Scotland. *
