The earlier address is at 25 King Street. In the 1853 directory, the Queen Victoria is at 25 King street. This address appears to be the Black Bull, 25 King street in 1832 and 1843, then the Queen Victoria at 25 King Street, in 1856 and earlier. There is then a period of time in which the directory does not list the Victoria Hotel or the Newmarket until at least 1864; the early name for King street was Cow lane, e.g. in 1811 when a Black Bull is listed at 25 Cow lane.
In the 1911 census the address of the Victoria is 24a King street, with the Newmarket next door at 26 King street.
