We have been looking at the history of the Chandler family that founded our
hospital (National Hospital Queen Square WC1N) back in the 1860’s.
They seem to own pubs at some point, and Edward Henry Chandler was here in
1843, and Edward’s grandfather, John Pinnock, owned The
Wheatsheaf
in 12 Lower Grosvenor Place we think from 1818 and a couple of others which
we don’t know the names of but were listed in his Will in 1835. *+
