Jack King (AKA John William King) was my great grandfather. He left the pub when the blitz got too much for him and his wife. One thing we still have is a pencil he had printed with the Arsenal’s fixtures for 1934. He was also at the Duke of Gloucester, in Seabright Street in Bethnal Green where his mother Helen King was the victualler for many years, and his elder brother. ***
