Kings Head,  12 Cumberland Market NW1

St Pancras index

Formerly the Stag. This was the only Pub standing in the Cumberland Market by 1931 and the area suffered massive bomb damage during WW2.  The Kings Head stands at the junction with Glen Street, and W Hale & Sons, dairymen can be seen adjoining.

Due to extensive post-war rebuilding in this area in the 1950s, this pub was relocated very slightly to the north-east at the intersection with Varndell Street, sometimes given the address of 7 Varndell Street (though it has since been demolished). *
