Smashing a window - A dressmaker named Elizabeth Lawson, aged 36, of South street, Marylebone, was charged with wilfully breaking a stained glass window, valued at £4 10 shillings, at thw Phoenix beer house, 408 Euston road.
Mr Thompson, the proprietor, said the prisoner was a total stranger to him. The prisoner pleaded that she was suffering from rheumatism, and fell against the window by acciden, but she was willing to pay for it.
Ordered to pay a fine of 20 shillings, or twenty one days imprisonment.
