Adam & Eve, 1 Eves Terrace, Old St Pancras Road NW1

St Pancras index

There are two Adam & Eve in Pancras in 1839, and I am unsure which is referred to in 1788. At Eves Terrace, Old St Pancras Road in 1839 to 1862. The British History online site describes this area, and the Adam & Eve, with considerable detail.

All of the records from the newspaper license transfers refer to the Adam and Eve, Adam and Eve terrace, and in St Giles. But at the same time there are directory entries for an Adam & Eve, Eve place, Pancras road with very similar licensee (actually the same), here. I will therefore transfer all of this detail to the correct Adam & Eve.

An additional reference worth noting is the 1842 directory (for example) of Pancras road, Gloucester road. This lists several public houses which are all in St Pancras, and also  St Giles cemetery.

Historical London public houses, Taverns, Inns, Beer Houses and Hotels.
